For Gladys

I have been saying "Wear a wedding dress every day" for years. Now you can wear a wedding dress more than one day for a good cause. You can wear a wedding dress for Gladys.

For the ninth year in a row, women dressed in wedding gowns, along with approximately 100 other women in white and men dressed in black, marched through the streets of Manhattan and the South Bronx to raise awareness about domestic violence in our families and communities. This was done in remembrance of Gladys Ricart and others who have lost their lives to acts of domestic violence.

This is a beautiful thing to do. I'm surprised that it's the first I've heard of it. Thanks for spreading the word "for Gladys."

Thanks Delores, I didn't know about it either until it popped up in my daily research.
I hope my blog will help it reach more and more.
Thanks for reading
