Pinning.....Done In a Manly Way

Reversible African Print Bow Tie
Have you been physco emailing your guy to "like" your Wedding Pinterest Board?   STOP IT RIGHT NOW.  He needs to pin his own stuff......in manly way.  It's not that he doesn't like those candles you found on Etsy, which you already convo-ed the seller to make sure they can fill your order by the big day, which is a false date because small companies can be flakey.  He needs to create his own board of manly fabulous finds.  He needs Gentlemint.

Co-founder Glen Stansberry talks about why guys need or even want to find stuff they like and catalog it: Interview with Gentlemint’s Glen Stansberry: Pinterest, Sharing, and did someone say Bacon?

Gentlemint is not just for men but it is a place to share manly things.

Smooth Operator

Many couples today are free spirited with plenty of style.  So a crocheted fedora will be right up their ally.
I fell in love with this hat, when Yarncoture posted it on Facebook.  It is quite perfect for the guy who is a Smooth Operator.

The Vegan Bride: The Vegan Groom

All of my posts have been about Lia (as it should be, she is the bride DUH), however she has a simply fabulous vegan groom, Kalani (a twist on a West African name). Both have the same dietary goals which made dating alot easier. Lia didn't have to subject herself to salads in hamburger joints.

After spying each other at a Reggae concert they created their own music and now we are close to this couple creating a duet where both families sing their praises.

I wanted to share with you what Kalani was wearing on the big day. Since Lia's dress is not traditional and has a little funk incorporated in it, his suit needs to fit in. He has chosen a suit from John Varvatos Star USA Three Piece Suit. He won't be wearing the vest and Nordstrom is fitting it to Kalani, so it will be a bit more nipped in at the waist. It is a beautiful match for this island wedding.

Love This Post

I found this post and it reminded me of my grandfather's hat that I loooooooooved.

I wore it out and still don't have the courage to throw it out, even if the brim is separating from the crown.
Anyway back to wedding stuff, I thought the men folk would look great in these Panama's, at a destination wedding. Especially if your theme is Coooooool.

Today in NY, is the Puerto Rican Day Parade. It is the largest in NY and the neighborhoods are alive with color and sound. Pink Galoshes has a great find "para sombreros de hombres", read all about: Panama Hats at El Galpon on Calle del Cresto, San Jaun, PR.

Your Fairy Godfather

Wasn't that drug store box of candy delicious? Oh, and I am sure the I Love You teddy bear was just what you wanted.
You may looooooove your man, but is he missing a wee bit of the romance gene. There is no need to suffer in silence, tune into Groomed. Paul Hogan (right) former chief of staff in the foreign service, brings his life experience of a Gentleman's Gentleman to spearheads a Grooms transformation.
With only a few days before a big event, Paul takes on the challenge of these diamonds in the rough. With care and precision he chisels out the flaws and polishes these Grooms, so they sparkle like the diamond he proposed with.
If you think your man needs some higher learning the administration office is open, Groomed

Suit Up Man

It's no mystery that women have been enjoying the luxury of having their wedding gowns specially made for years. For most, this is a thrilling experience. She returns to the bridal shop for her couture fittings (even if it is a budget bridal shop) and has tea and crumpets amidst oohs, ahhs, and tears with all her friends.
The groom, on the other hand, rents his tux (who else has worn that suit) along with shoes and sometimes socks (eiwww!).
My Suit NY will create, a made to measure suit for the big day or any other day. Fabric choices are top notch and all traditional to fashion forward looks can be accommodated. In some cases only 2 weeks lead time is needed (what!). Prices begin at $495, which beats some off the rack prices. This is a perfect match, price, fit, and style, suit up man!

The Man I love

"You make me want to be a better man."

"You complete me."

"I would rather have one breath of her hair, one kiss from her mouth, one touch of her hand, than eternity without it."

"You are what I never knew I always wanted."

As the romance on the big screen builds, you snuggle just a little closer and long for the strong sensitive type, just like you are seeing on screen. He (movie star with the script), has just uttered words that make you swoon with envy. You know you have good guy, that's why you said yes, but why can't he be more like... THAT GUY IN THE MOVIES!
Stop the madness, he is an actor with a perfectly tailor script meant to do exactly what it did. Get the audience all worked up.
You want your man nudged in the right direction, which doesn't mean sitting through every romantic movie since the 70's, that will be torture. There are a few places on the web where he can get advice, ideas, style, and even vow writing inspirations. Below are a few websites dedicated to the Groom. It may be your wedding, but let him see how much fun it is to be the center of attention.

The Man Registry

Now if you play your cards right you may have the
Happiest Groom Ever!
Hey according to the video, he won $10,000.
