I am excited to announce a casting for a new WEDDING DRESS SHOW!  The show is called SOMETHING BORROWED SOMETHING NEW and will air on A MAJOR CABLE NETWORK!  They are looking for FUN and FABULOUS BRIDES who are getting married between Sept 2012 through Aug 2013 and searching for their dream wedding dress.

 

Does a loved one want you to wear their old wedding dress but is not your style? Or is mom’s dress outdated, ruined, or doesn’t fit? If selected our experts will expand your options by transforming the old dress to the dress of your dreams. In addition you will be taken to the top bridal boutiques to find a new dress in your budget. With TWO dresses to choose from will the bride go for Something Borrowed to Something New.

Real Love....Reel Love Challenge

The Ruth Institute wants you to answer this question, Is Real Love Possible?  Answer yes or no, make a creative video and just maybe you can win $2000. 

I have viewed a few of the videos and I think you've got a reel chance :).  Be creative, provocative, curious, and do it all with love.  Below is an example of one of the more creative entries.

The Ruth Institute a project of the National Organization for Marriage Education Fund. We envision a renewed culture in which the vast majority of marriages are stable, happy, and permanent. We believe that without a society in which lifelong marriage is the norm, outcomes such as a healthy economy and prosperous society cannot last. Our mission is to promote lifelong married love on college campuses by creating an intellectual and social climate that is favorable to marriage.

1. We are looking for college students or young adults (18-24) to answer the question, “How is lifelong love possible” in 30 seconds!
2. Upload your video from anywhere! Just make it in English. 
3. Be original! Be creative! No logos, songs or art by other artists.
4. You don’t have to be a professional photographer or video producer to enter your visual answer to “How is lifelong love possible?” Use a camera, flip, webcam or even still shots!
5. Enter your film between September 20-February 1, 2011
6. Want to get your group of friends together and submit a video? The more the merrier. 
7. Your video must end with, “Vote for my video at www.ruthinstitute.org/reellovechallenge

Courtship Stories wedding favors and keepsakes announces a contest for engaged couples who are passionate about sharing their love story with friends and family at their wedding. The winning bride and groom will have their courtship story written and then receive some assistance submitting it to love story contests with wedding-related prizes.

For sample manuscripts, visit www.courtship-stories.com. Contestants should submit a brief synopsis of how they met and fell in love and why they would like to win. “Special consideration will be given to couples who have had to overcome physical and emotional obstacles to be with each other, or couples in which it would seem unbelievable that their paths would cross,” said Ellen Braunstein, writer and creative director of Courtship Stories.
