From Addis, Ethiopia to Norway

Back in April I got an email from Caitlin, she was living in Ethiopia, but getting married in Norway.  Wow, what an exciting journey.
I met Caitlin in April and she ordered a Silk Crepe back Satin cowl neck gown.  I was only going to see Caitlin one more time when she came back to the US for another friends wedding.

Caitlin was a perfect bride, for something that would have made any bride nervous as......  Her dress was purchased far away and she would only see the dress when she came to the US (twice).  It would be enough to make any bride loose her mind.
Both times that I met her she came with great creative friends (Maria and Emily),  who only wanted the best for her.  They followed her lead, letting her make the decision for what she wanted instead of.....well, the kind of chatter you see on TV wedding shows.  I'm sure there were butterflies, but she was so easy going.
The other day I received an email from Caitlin:
"I wanted to drop you a note to let you know the dress was absolutely perfect! It fit beautifully. I didn't take it off until the very end of the night."

This is a video a one of her friend's (another creative person) put together. This is a couple surrounded with love.

Are You In A "Loving" Relationship?

HBO Documentary
Interview with The Lovings Documentary
Director Nancy Buirski.

"...in sickness and in health, in good times and in bad, and in joy as well as in sorrow. I promise to love you.... "

The Lovings'
In 1958 Mildred and Richard traveled to Washington D.C. to marry and so comes the test of true love.  The Lovings were trying to evade the Virginia's Racial Integrity Act 1924, which made interacial marriage a crime.  Their legal battle would include court battle after court battle for until 1967.  They did not attend the oral arguments in Washington, but their lawyer, Bernard S. Cohen (also attorney Phillip J. Hirschkop), conveyed the message he had been given by Richard Loving to the court: "Mr. Cohen, tell the Court I love my wife, and it is just unfair that I can't live with her in Virginia."

The U.S. Supreme Court overturned the convictions in a unanimous decision (dated June 12, 1967), dismissing the Commonwealth of Virginia's argument.
So I ask are you in a 'Loving' relationship?

Love how she topped her look off with real flowers

Shawn is a fit yoga instructor, which helps this gown look lovely, but Soliloquy Bridal has a fabulous fit department that makes every bride feel perfect.

More From Team Samuel

Toni Samuel ("An Anniversary Celebrated In Style"), shared with me a few more of her favorites photos.  It was about 120 more photos and when you have photo journalist like Ross Oscar Knight to document your day you are bound to have a hard time picking out favorites.  I have narrowed it down, which was no picnic, to 23 great shots of the day, that I wanted to share with you.

A family picnic of Love

The Mark and Toni are photographers themselves and got a few shots of their own (Mark Samuel Photography).

An Anniversary Celebrated In Style

Ten years ago Toni and Mark got married.

They had a little girl and named her Mali...

....and then a little boy, they named Nile.

Who love each other dearly.

Mark and Toni decide to celebrate in style.

This family is filled with creativity and their 10 year wedding anniversary could not be simple.  They decided to honor the marital bliss with a family picnic in Georgia.
Picnics may call for casual wear but as I said before this is a family of artists.  Everyone in the family had a piece on created by me.
Toni loved my patchwork and I created a patchwork jacket with bits of her original wedding dress.  That was paired with a denim A-line skirt.  For Mark I created a vest that was reversible to a patchwork side.  Mali looooooooved Tutu's and Nile looooooooved caps I used the same African Print in their parents attire.   The entire brood got the Converse sneakers that were customized with their original wedding date.  It was stylish, chic, and everything can be worn again and again.
Mark and Toni are photographers (Mark Samuel Photography) with their own company.  Which means the photos are very important, so they got the incredible photo journalist Ross Oscar Knight to document the day.
