Go Long
That's right GO LONG for the Garter toss. This garter has some weight on it, so it will get be air born with out much effort. Many times the Garter toss has the Groom winding up his arm to get some speed and distance on his toss. Only to have it drop a foot in front of him, leaving young men to dive in a panic for the prize. The cowrie shells and beads embellishment will give it weight for a toss that all the young single men can Go Long.

Did you know this about throwing the garter?
The Brides garter in the 14th century symbolized the release of the virgin’s girdle. Wedding guest rushed the bride for this prize which would bestow good luck. Many guest were hurt in the may lay .
The brides began to remove their garters and throw them instead.
We may dress differently than 14th century brides but wedding guests are still fighting to the end for that little piece of elastic and some good luck.
You may want to keep these garters for your own private party.
