Kim came to me, with what most would consider an impossible deadline. She only gave me a little over 2 weeks. Kim was nervous about all the "to do's" that kept adding up and then at the 2 week mark she made decision, I would recreate the essence of her mom's dress. She emailed me a photo and I created a silk shantung, tea length gown, with some beading around the neckline. It was the perfect dress for the small intimate ceremony at the home she grew up in.
The photo above is the night before, she stood by door for her sister to see (she was in the car double parked, I was going to give up my spot. It's a NY thing). She said she looked like mom. It was the best compliment I could have received.
Dear Cassandra,
Yep we are planning for a BIGGER wedding in just ummmm 4 weeks!

Dear Cassandra,
Everything was absolutely lovely last Saturday - it was so sweet! One of my friends shot some candid shots with my little camera, so these aren't the greatest to see the dress itself, but the professional photographer should have some nice ones.
Everyone recognized what we were doing with the dress & loved the idea. Mom's picture was on a stand right up front in her dress.
Now I have to figure out what we're doing for October.....!
Thanks again for giving me such a beautiful way to wear my mom's dress.
Big hugs,
Kim

She's gorgeous, her mom is gorgeous, and both dresses are gorgeous! You did a beautiful job of recreating the essence of her mom's dress.
Thanks so much, it was a really nice project to work on.
